Huckleberry Planter // Native Clay

Red and Blue huckleberries grow wild all over the pacific northwest west of the cascade mountains and have fed native peoples here for thousands of years. For me, they represent the abundance and gift of this land we live on and so I chose them to put on a pot as a way to honor that gift.

The clay is native Oregon clay that I dug myself on the sides of Mount Hood, called Wy’east by the Multnomah tribe. The red color is naturally occurring. It is processed by hand in my studio and is a labor of love and hard work. Variations are to be expected and embraced as part of the handmade process.

Measures approximately 4” x 4” with small drainage hole in the bottom. Ready to ship. Handmade every step of the way.
