Tall Fern Tumbler // Native Clay

48.00

Take almost any hike in the Columbia River Gorge or in the Mount Hood National Forest and you’ll be surrounded by Douglas Firs and ferns of all kinds, but often mainly, Sword Ferns. I love how they resemble feathers and in fact their leaf type is called pinnate, which means feather in latin.

This tumbler is made from native Oregon clay, dug on near mount hood and processed by hand in my studio. The red color is naturally occurring. Each piece made with this clay is unique and is a labor of love and hard work. Slight variations from piece to piece are to be expected and embraced as part of the handmade process.

Measures approximately 5” tall x 3” wide. Microwave and dishwasher safe but hand washing is recommended as dishwashers are hard on all ceramic ware and hand washing will prolong their life. These are ready to ship.
